Our first camping trip this summer was w/ The DeCrette Family on McKenzie's 3 month birthday! We left Steamboat at 1:00pm and didn't get to our final destination until 7:00pm. I know, you must be thinking, "Oh, those poor kids - in the car for 6 hours." But.. what you should really be thinking is, "Oh, those poor parents - having to deal with 2 kids in the car for 6 hours!" Well, all things considered - the drive wasn't as bad as it could have been, but.. the adults sure needed a drink as soon as we arrived at the campground! We had planned to go to Grand Mesa (about 3 hours and 15 min) campground. We got there and the campground was closed - due to snow still on the ground!! It was absolutely beautiful, but... I'm glad it was closed because it would have been really cold at night and Kenzie just turned 3 months. We ended up finding another campground 30 minutes away and still had a great time. Kenzie is a wonderful little camper. As usual, she did awesome. Ethan had fun playing with Jackie and Elliot. And.. the adults had fun too!
No trees at the campsite. ( luckily it was windy because it was pretty hot!)

Cheese!

Ethan has been hard core potty training for 2 weeks now and he's doing great! We even took the potty camping. Not bad views while sitting on the potty! We got him some big boy underpants. His favorite are Diego.
Ethan and Elliot
Ethan takes his bike everywhere and is so good. We took it on our hike and he was riding down stairs and rocks. He's going to be one good mountain biker!
Who's going to win?!

Hanging out in the tent out of the wind and sun
Oh, can you feel the love?!
Family nap time! Well, that's what we had hoped for anyway. Ethan wouldn't fall asleep - ended up waking up Kenzie so we had to go for a drive so Ethan would take a nap!
